Charisse Kennedy studied photography at the Illinois Institute of Art - Schaumburg. Her passion for photography was ignited long before that. Ever since she was old enough to spend her allowance money on disposable cameras, she was shooting. She didn't realize just what a hold photography had on her until after she had already attained a degree in her other passion, theatre. Now she has two B.A. Degrees and a world of possibilities.
Specializing in commercial product and lifestyle photography, she currently works at Blue Nile, Inc. where she runs the photography studio and manages a team of 7-10. Brought in to grow the outfit and create a world-class studio, she is also the acting photo producer, planning and executing shoots with third party teams for additional company needs. Additionally, she assists in photo art direction, as well as, creative conceptualization and is focused on building out the in-house capabilities and capacity of her team.
Formerly, Charisse was a Senior photographer at Ulta Beauty, Inc. who rose to the role of Photo Producer. There, she helped grow the photo team from a two-person unit to a high-capacity studio of 10-20 individuals, all of whom she coordinated in her Producer role.
